Book the choir

Over the years, Talgarth Male Choir has performed at around 1,000 different venues, from the tiniest chapel to the Royal Albert Hall, from the Millennium Stadium to a country marquee, and for audiences from 100 to 70,000. Every venue poses different logistics for staging the choir.

As well as full concerts, the choir enjoys performing at weddings, private parties, festivals and joint concerts with other groups. We are happy to travel further afield, and will stay overnight where the venue is too far to return the same day.

A full concert lasts around two hours and offers a varied and entertaining evening. For smaller occasions, we can provide a shorter "cabaret" style programme of around thirty minutes.

We are always happy to tailor our repertoire to suit your event.

If you would like to engage the choir for an event or function, or to hold a full concert to raise funds for your charity or cause, we would love to hear from you.

How it works

Lets have a chat.
Arrange an on-site meeting with one of our representatives. We'll look at the space, work out how best to place the choir for a good sound, and talk through the programme. A concert usually lasts about 1¾ hours, and you're welcome to request or suggest pieces.
Get the audience in.
Get the audience in! Put up posters, spread the word on socials, send a press release to local media, and hand out fliers. Send us any press items so we can pop them on our website too.
Sort the practicalities.
Make sure there's parking for cars or a coach, a mains socket, and ideally a decent tuned piano. We'll take a look at the piano and can arrange refreshments for the choir.
Concert time.
We prefer an 8pm start on weekdays, and weekends are more flexible. After the concert we love a get-together we call the "afterglow", and promoters are always warmly welcome to join us. Fees are settled in advance or on the day.
There's nothing quite like the sound of a male voice choir to make a wedding day truly memorable.

Talgarth Male Choir has sung at weddings in churches, village halls and private venues across the area, and we would be honoured to be part of your special day.

Whether you'd like us to sing during the ceremony, welcome your guests as they arrive, or entertain them at the drinks reception, we can tailor our programme to suit you.

Our repertoire includes traditional Welsh hymns, songs from the shows, and well-loved classics, and you're very welcome to request a favourite song that means something to you.
